Stable or Sinking?

1/2 inch per year average sinking across the region, 1/5th inch per year in the most stable parts of town, more than an inch in some areas including the levees themselves, this is a formula for disaster.

Sea levels rising? It hardly matters.

Since Katrina the highest parts of town are an inch lower and the lowest parts are half a foot deeper in the muck. Good Luck to New Orleans!
