The oldest part of Algiers this community was long accessible only by boat. Quaint architecture reminiscent of the French Quarter and easy access to the city via ferry makes this a desirable neighborhood. Crime and poverty undo the charm. Long overdue for a renaissance this neighborhood could be great.
