After the storm the hunger for information was intense. No one knew
what was going on. The national news seemed focused on the sensational.
The Times Picayune had to evacuate its Howard Avenue home. WWL radio
even had to leave. That left only a few intrepid souls with power and
phone lines to tell it like it was.
Polimom had evacuated to Houston but had enough contacts on Algiers Point
to lay it out in a blog for everyone to read. Fascinating stuff as a
counterpoint to the converage we all saw on CNN, Fox and MSNBC The blog
reads backwards with the first post at the end.
You might also want to read the Times Picayune archives which have been preserved.
