Finally at 10:15pm the Corps reports the lake level is dropping and water is beginning to flow out into the Industrial Canal.

With the continuing drop in lake water levels the corps of Engineers reports the water in the lake and the water in the city equalizes at noon Wednesday. Water begins flowing out at the rate of 1/2 inch per hour.

It will take 42 days to get the water out of the city.
