Major League Pro Sports
Saints Football is the dominant sport scene in the Crescent City.
LSU Football finds itself in a not so distant second place.
BCS Sugar bowl came home 1/3/7 after a one year exile in Atlanta.
Together the two major league football attractions dominate the local sports scene far ahead of the other contenders.

LSU Basketball for men and women creates some playoff excitement but not much in the way on season long buzz.
LSU, Tulane and sometimes UNO Baseball often lead to the College World Series with a couple of exciting confrontations during the season.

Hornets Basketball provides some interesting controversies. Basketball is just not the season long thrill of football and memories of the New Orleans (not Utah) Jazz team with Pistol Pete Maravich are still strong.

Minor Leagues
Zeyphers Baseball
Voodoo Arena Football
Tulane Football

Extinctions
