The post office has been very slow to recover. Mail is slow, inconsistent and 4th class / magazines...well just forget them.

Much of the problem is attributed to damage to the post office building on Loyola and Girod. Tuesday 2/21/6 the building has reopened. Mail can now be processed here in N.O. We will see just how this affects the service.

After the reopening mail problems have dropped off the grid. Sure there are a few new carriers who can't seem to tell a 2 from a 3 but overall the service is back to preK standards after only 6 months on the ropes.
