The USPS has decided home delivery in New Orleans just isn't in the cards at least for now (7 months after the storm). They have begun installing these locked boxes containing a ll the mailboxes for the neighborhood. Instead of  having to go to the post office to retrieve your mail you can now take a short stroll to your private  locked mailbox .

Go figure. If they were UPS, FedEx, DHL....

Fourth class mail including magazines are still not being delivered. A copy of Tennis magazine leaked through somehow the other day so they must be getting close.
