New Orleans Mosquito Control has just brought in over 10,000 mosquito larvae eating fish to place in abandoned swimming pools around the city. This has been getting a lot of attention in the local media.

I called Mosquito Control to request some fish for the abandoned house and pool next door to my home. Had a very nice conversation. They were aware of the program and took down my information. Never saw any fish or heard about this again. Within 60 days we had new neighbors who drained the pool. Mission accomplished.
