One function of the Louisiana Supreme Court is oversight of the judges. Its Judiciary Commission provides this oversight. Consisting of nine members including  three judges, three attorney's and three citizens the Commission makes recommendations to the Supreme Court for actions including censure, supsension, or removal. The commission is charged with evaluating judge's performance.
