  • 8/1/6 -  New Orleans is anxiously tracking the first tropical system of the year expected to enter the Gulf as a hurricane. It's still far out, north of Puerto Rico and won't make it to the Gulf until the 7th. If so intensification in the Gulf is a near certainty and landfall would occur somewhere between Mexico and Florida on about the 10th or 11th of August.
  • 8/2/6 -  240 hours before landfall somewhere along the Gulf Coast. If it crosses south Florida first landfall could be 140 hours away.
  • 8/3/6 - Forecast track has shifted southward, heading for Cuba's north coast near Havana and then out into the Gulf towards Mexico. Storm has weakened dramatically.
  • 8/6 - By Sunday the system has dissipated
