The Louisiana Recovery Authority awarded $200 million to bankrupt Entergy New Orleans (ENO) in October 2006 to aid in rebuilding the damaged distribution system. They attached a bunch of strings including a priviso that Entergy not move its headquarters from New Orleans. Entergy objected .

A state consultant believes this grant is sufficient to avoid all but a 9% rate increse to Entergy New Orleans customers.ENO had requested $592 million.
