Six murders in one day.
This is getting the people stirred up. On Jan 11, 2007, three thousand people took to the streets and marched on City Hall demanding action. The mayor said murder is his sole priority.
The story is emerging that the citizens don't trust the cops.
The crime stats for the second quarter of 2007 are out and the facts are alarming. Just as alarming are the attempts by the administration to make things look beter than they are. Continuing to use inflated population statistics the city claims the murder rate has dropped.

Furthermore the National Guard and State police are still in place patrolling the streets, we have a network of cameras installed, the feds are prosecuting the worst cases, Lee Brown has conducted his study and in essence nothing has changed for the better.
Digging deeper we also find the rates for other violent crimes climbing alarmingly. Armed robbery, rape and assault are all up by 30-50% over 2005 norms. Burglaries have almost doubled. Theft and auto theft are down....why?
