In July 2006 stories are emerging that plans to open schools in August may
be in jeopardy because its hard to find the 500 teachers they'll need.
Students are being allowed to register at what ever school they prefer.
Transportation is being promised to students who live more than a mile
from the school they attend.
In October students still don't have books. That sounds like NOPS!

McDonogh High School
: Reopened in the Fall of 2006 John McDonogh High School just can't stay out of the news. This high school located in Mid-City at 2426 Esplande Avenue is used by 1250 students and operated by the State Recovery School District. The students are all African-American.
