Brett Anderson is the new TP food writer (since Katrina). With a James Beard award under his belt, he reviewed the best roast beef poor boys then published a redux of his 100 Great Places to eat list stating with a top 10 in alphabetical order.
Brett and I don't see eye to eye on roast beef or the essentials, but since food is so personal its OK to agree to disagree.
His top ten in alphabetical order: Bayona, Clancy's, Cochon, Domenica, Emerils, Gautreauxs, Herbsaint, LaPetiteGrocery, Patois, and August, would please many.
My top ten has more range and only a few overlaps: Brightsens, Commanders, Dickies, Emerils, Mondo, Patois, Pelican, RioMar, Tommys and Upperline. By adding Lakeview Harbor, Harbor Seafood and Irene's we get a delightful dozen.
