GAP in the record....power and internet was out for nine days....thanks to Hurricane Isaac.
Dual landfall, first at the mouth of the river at 6:45 pm on 8/28 then at 2:00 am on 8/29. Then the storm just sat over New Orleans it seemed like forever.
It feels too familiar, but I am glad to be home. Seven years ago I was in Greenville, MS and getting ready to go to Dallas for the rest of the month. Today I am home, power was restored last night and it feels good.
The roof is torn up. There are still a few branches in the yard. I used about five tubes of caulk to patch up the house. We are still leaking. It's the roof. Roofer patches it while insurance evaluates the claim.
