Flood Insurance rates are in the news as new FEMA regulations seem to put the city at risk.
Its all in the Farm Bill in Washington D.C. and efforts by local legislators seem to be falling on deaf ears. In the meantime FEMA seems to be disputing reports of astronomical increases. News reports are short on facts but this is worth some digging. stub

The toll booths at the
CCC were removed in June. The lanes are still in place and re-striping has not begun. Without the booths, visibility is much better.
