We have a new President
and we'll have to learn about him.
He convinced a near plurality of voters that the country needed a change. He won just enough in the right states to earn the victory in the Electoral College. Hillary won the popular vote by over 3 million votes, but lost the election in the fifteen swing states. It appears likely that the Libertarian and Green Party votes totaled much more than the difference in the key states.
Jill Stein started a recount effort in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Reversal of Trump's narrow wins in those states would change the outcome. Pundits consider this vanishingly unlikely. Trump's legal team is hard at work trying to stop the recounts. The Electoral College meets December 19th....drama anyone?
He claims he will make the country better. He focused on a few popular causes in his bid for election. We'll have to wait until January to see how he actually leads.
The hurricane season is over for another year. It's finally starting to cool down. This summer seemed extra long.
