Hurricane Matthew was the first major storm of the season to threaten the Gulf and Atlantic coasts.
Brewing up into a Cat 5, this storm inflicted damage on Jamaica, wreaked havoc on Haiti and scared the dickens out of Florida from Miami to Jacksonville,d and the Carolinas before becoming a fish storm.
It look like the construction is winding down on the westbank approaches to the CCC. All evidence of the tool booths is gone. the new approaches involve some merging but it makes sense. The new speed limit is 50 through the approach. There is still construction on the main span where painting and lighting work is under way. Lane closures have been impeding the flow and with school in session traffic is backing up regularly.
Oh, just for grins FBI Director James Comey has made one more attempt to upset the Presidential race. Agents digging through Anthony Weiner's computer files found some of his wife's, Huma Adedin, email contained email from Hillary's private server. Abedin is a top Clinton staffer. Although at the time the FBI could not determine if there was anything new, Comey felt honor bound to send a letter to eight members of Congress announcing that he was reopening the investigation.
