Fishing is back. It was never gone. Commercial fishing was
interrupted and fish are more plentiful than they have been in recent
days. Redfish and speckled trout are the big players in the coastal
wetlands, but you'll also find flounder, catfish, and bass. You can
also trawl for shrimp but be sure to stay away from the oyster beds
unless you want to see a red faced man with a shotgun off your bow.
Head offshore and fish around the oil rigs for snapper, lemonfish,
mackerel, tuna etc. There might even be a tarpon or two. Take your
scuba gear for the spectacle of a lifetime.
There are plenty of commercial charters available.
