Darryl Kilbert was named Acting Superintendent of the New Orleans
Public Schools (NOPS) in June 2006. A longtime
NOPS employee he has been a principal and deputy superintendent. It
was announced he will receive a $150,000 per year salary. I don't know
if he has other deputies, but Alvarez and Marsal are still supplementing the staff.
Robin Jarvis is superintendant of the Recovery School District. I don't know her salary.
Brian Reidlinger is CEO of the Algiers Charter School Association which
controls more schools than NOPS but isn't saddled with NOPS history. His corporation receives $195,000
per year for his services.
Top management at the New Orleans Public Schools has expanded. We should expect superior performance.
