There are lots of places to play tennis in New Orleans. Even before the storm tennis players worried about flooding. ( it makes the balls too heavy to play, check out the video below for another possible effect.)

Since the storm a number of clubs have reported in and tennis is alive and well in New Orleans. The USTA helped out with a series of grants after the storm. Audubon Park, City Park and the NORD operated Stern Tennis center all received grants. Audubon Park and City Park have put their grants to good use. The city has been slow to use the money provided for Stern.
