Instrumental in Nagin's reelection these guys are becoming a force in New Orleans. This Chicago based national Civil Rights organization was born when Jackson resigned from the SCLC after clashing with Martin Luther King successor Ralph Abernathy.

Primary a political action group, RPC participates in elections, lobbying government and industry especially broadcast media, organizing labor,  and influencing policy towards Haiti and South Africa.

After providing significant financial support during Ray Nagin's re-election campaign, RPC and Jesse Jackson now have unprecedented access to the mayor.
