Republican campaign finances from FEC
filings
as reported by OpenSecrets show five candidates are winning the money race. Is
Ron Paul's 4.3 million dollars raised on November 5, 2007 significant?
You bet it is. It looks like he will raise over $12 million in Q4. That
will put him in league with Romney and Giuliani. Keep any eye on Mitt
Romney's debt. That comes from his personal contributions to the
campaign.

Democratic Candidates have raised far more money but have spent about the same as the Republicans. Look at the spending by Hillary and Barack. $84 million so far by the Democrats matches the spending by Rudy and Mitt of $83 million. Edwards matches McCain at about $30 million. Only the second tier of Republicans don't match up to the Democrats.

Of course having raised more, the Democrats have far more cash on hand at this point.
