“High Net Worth Individuals” (HNWI) are defined as those who
have investable assets of more than $1M. The number of these very wealthy
individuals in the US declined by 35 thousand over the past two years and their
wealth is down but the fact remains that 1% of Americans are very rich while
across the world only 1/5th that many have a million bucks beyond
their basic needs.
